American Fork Wrestling Begins

Wrestling has begun. Ok, it actually started back on Wednesday November 3o at West Lake High School. Let’s begin with the recaps.

There were over 50 wrestlers on the American Fork Wrestling Team who competed on Wednesday November 3o at West Lake High School. Junior Varsity and exhibition teams WON their duals by 4 points. Varsity WON the dual 43 – 30. There are a lot of first years wrestling this year on all levels (Exhibition, JV, and Varsity). First years already coming out with so many wins? I’m proud to be a fan of American Fork Wrestling.

The Titan Duals at Syracuse High School were Friday December 2nd and Saturday December 3rd. There were 10 teams total competing. There were three wrestlers that began their undefeated reputation on the Varsity level. Richard Bartholomew at the 145 lb. weight class, Brayden Rhoton at 160 lbs., and Silas Olsen at 195 lbs. They each had close matches but remained undefeated. Kia’i Kurihara on the JV level placed second in his weight class only losing one match. TJ Larsen, Braden Anson, and Josh Knapton place in the top 3 of the exhibition tournament.

The Varsity Duals were as follows
Snow Canyon 48 AF 28
AF 45 Copper Hills 30
AF 54 Cottonwood 24
Syracuse 48 AF 27
Kearns 52 AF 30
AF 42 Skyline 39
AF 48 Olympus 30
Murry 39 AF 37
