AF Wrestling Dec. 14, 15-16

On Wednesday December 14th, our wrestlers traveled to Lehi High School. American Fork lost by 5 points in the last match of the evening.

Over the weekend our American Fork Wrestlers traveled to the Viewmont Invitational. It consisted of the top team in all five divisions of Utah. It is considered by some to be the toughest tournament held in the State. The varsity team took 10 out of 24 schools. There were four varsity wrestlers that placed at the tournament. Richard Bartholomew placed 4th at 145 lbs . Tyler Horan placed 5th at 152 lbs. Brayden Rhoton placed 3rd at 160 lbs. Ben Peterson placed 6th at heavyweight. Silas Olsen was pulled out of the tournament due to a MCL sprain. Hopefully the holidays will be enough time to get him back on the mat in January.

Junior varsity had one wrestler place at the tournament. Jacob Tam took 6th at 120 lbs.

The wrestling season is on hold for the Holidays but the team will be back on the mat the first week of January on Wednesday the 4th against Provo. Then in American Fork against Pleasant Grove on Thursday.
