AF Wrestling vs. Riverton

The Riverton High School Wrestling Team came to American Fork last night, where AF hosted their last home match of the season. Like I’ve said before, home matches are a good time. Little Cavemen circle the mats and we get serenaded by beautiful AF voices as we honor our country. I won a t-shirt last night. Which completed my night with 2 great wins from both our Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.

Junior Varsity had a 33-25 victory over Riverton.

Varsity’s final score was 63-17.

American Fork Varsity wins included Freshman Jackson Wilson (106), Sophomore’s Craig Johnson (113) & James Lewis (HWT),  Senior’s Richard Bartholomew (145), Tyler Horan (152), & Brayden Rhoton (160) all winning by fall. Sophomore Andrew Bartholomew (126) won his match 20-8 and Senior Ben Peterson (220) won 14-4. Senior’s AJ Cindrich (120) and Silas Olsen (195) won by forfeit.

Today I began scanning Shae Goodwin’s photos from last night. (Visit her website under the Cavemen Sports button to see more.) Those wrestlers know how to take great photos. Lets’ countdown the 5 best photos from last night’s match.

#5 Goes to Sophomore Aaron Tobler (152) and the determination in his face.

#4 Goes to Freshman Kolter Atkinson (132). He had just finished a tough round but he still takes a great photo.

#3 Sophomore Andrew Bartholomew (126) can wrestle in the air!

#2 Senior Tyler Horan (152) smashing his opponents face with the strength in his arms.

And the winner for the best photo out of all the Shae Goodwin photos of American Fork’s Wrestling match against Riverton…

#1 Junior Kia’i Kurihara (152). Make sure to share copies with your loved ones Kia’i! Thanks for posing for us.

This weekend the AF Wrestling Team travels to Delta High School for the Delta Great Basin Duals. Good luck Cavemen!
