October 25, 2013 –
The Cavemen kicked off their game against Wasatch with an amazing interception returned for a touchdown by Ben Cummings. Nate Honey ran into the end zone. Then a few minutes later, Jonah Trinnaman ran a tight 1 yard touchdown to close out the first half. The second half was all about the seniors. It’s like they had superman’s power in their arms and legs. Jacen Condie was the man, he had 279 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. The defense was unbelievable to watch. The Cavemen ended the game with another awesome interception returned for a touchdown by Jade Luker. They thumped the Wasps 58-7. It was so great to see all of them playing with energy and emotion.
It is hard to believe that football is now over. There are a lot of players with different talents and skills that made it a fun season to watch. To think the Cavemen were just a couple of key plays away from being 8-2 instead of 6-4. Next year will be interesting with sophomore quarterback, Tanner Smith, taking over the lead. Meanwhile, who is ready for the basketball and wrestling season to start? I am! I always know what the weather will be like indoors. Mark your calendar–there is a Dodgeball Tournament on Thursday, November 7. It will be fun. Come take on the wildboyzzz. You won’t want to miss it.
